History
True to the flower’s connotation of hope and renewal, the Yellow Tea Rose Foundation provides support for women and youth through scholarships, and services to the disadvantaged in the Washington, D.C. area. The Foundation was founded and is operated by the ladies of the Washington, D.C., Phi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc since 2006. The sorority has served the local community since 1938 providing a diverse array of programs that include teaching financial skills to women and youth, providing scholarships celebrating academic success and providing an annual symposium affording youth a platform to discuss and address issues affecting them. The Yellow Tea Rose Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization.

The Yellow Tea Rose Foundation and the Phi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc are offering four scholarships to graduating high school students in Washington, D.C. Check out the criteria and apply. The deadline for this scholarship season is April 24, 2023.
